Tramandaí is a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul is a beach which is 118 km from the state capital, Porto Alegre. It is located at a latitude 29 59'05 "south and longitude 50 º 08'01" West and its altitude is 8 meters above sea level. Its estimated population in 2010 was 41,655 inhabitants and a population density of 254.85 inhabitants / km ². It has an area of 143.76 km ² and its CEP 95590-000. On October 26, 1732 officially began settlement Tramandaí when Manoel Gonçalves Ribeiro gained an allotment to which the region belongs. This part of the region became known as Stop the Shells.
