Praia da Taíba is a beach in the Brazilian State of Ceará. Is located at 76 km from Fortaleza, in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante.

Currently is one of the favorite tourist spots of Ceará. The population is around two thousand six hundred inhabitants and lives according to the fishing and tourism. The Beach offers conditions for the practice of surf, windsurf and sandboard. Another attraction is the gastronomic festival of the snail that occurs annually since 1998.
From its stunning beaches leave the fishermen to fish in the sail boats typical to this part of Brazil. These boats are simple made wooden boats which take to the seas for up to 2 days at a time. Watching the locals launching and landing in such simple craft is an experience you will never forget.
