Barra do Cunhau

Close your eyes and imagine a river flowing on a beach. The image that came to mind was paradise and wonderful? His mind was right, this is Barra do Cunhaú. The beaches are calm and the long strip of sand almost deserted make you feel in one of the most beautiful scenery in the northeast of the Brazilian soap operas.
The waters are darker here with a green half tone. The coves all contain warm water, at roughly 26C the whole year and are great for bathing in.
In Barra do Cunhau you can choose a peaceful River bath in the waters of Brazil or surfing in the Pontal da boca da barra. Kitesurfing and windsurfing also econtram the ideal place to practice, tano in the river and the beach.
This south coast beach is found near the city of Canguaretama, which is almost 75 km from Natal, but it holds one of the most beautiful beaches along the the south coast of Rio Grande do Norte. The fishing village of Canguaretama is surrounded by a landscape of salt marshes, coves, beaches and open sea, which includes Barra de Cunhaú Beach.
The city itself is small, but has several restaurants and inns. The area is also known for its shrimp farming, which is on the main economic contributors to the State, and a large export.
Within 3km of Barra de Cunhaú Beach is Sibaúma Beach and only slightly further away is Baía Formosa Beach which is slightly further away, at nearly 8km.
